In her Book "Braiding Sweetgrass," Robin Wall Kimmerer explains that an indigenous friend uses Sweetgrass (Latin:  Heirochloe odorata) in ceremony and, in order to preserve its sacred nature, it must be gifted.  

    To encourage gifting among friends, and to indeed gift sweetgrass plants ourselves, we offer FREE sweetgrass plants. 

These are live plants, healthy root divisions and, depending on the season, lovely long sweetgrass blades.  Each gift contains at least 12 shoots on a thick bed of living roots, ready to plant.  Each gift of sweetgrass receives a bath of sound from our Tibetan crystal singing bowls to raise its vibrational frequency to the pure, clear song of sharing between friends.

    In respect for our 34 years of commercial organic herb plant production, the meditative time we spend tending the healing Mágica gardens daily, the singing bowl sound bath for each gift we prepare, and a life time of learning, growing, using, and praying with plant medicine, we ask you to share with us $24 for each sweetgrass gift, which is an appreciation for our attention and expertise and also covers USPS priority shipping and full insurance.   The holy sacred number 24, increasing power, multiplying blessings.  The sweetgrass plant is free; your $24 gift is for our time, attention, half for USPS Priority mail & insurance (12 and 12 again).

    In order to offer options comfortable to all of our friends and patrons, we offer two ways to send us your gift to us:  you may choose to either send the funds directly via venmo, or you may "trade" coffee for sweetgrass by 'buying us a coffee' in the gift amount.

    Your sweetgrass gift will be mindfully prepared and shipped to order as pictured below. 

    Sweetgrass is a hardy perennial, so it prefers to be planted outside in garden soil which gets regular water.  Beware as it spreads vigorously!  With care, in a few years, each one of the sweetgrass gifts will spread to approx a 2'x2' area, the blades will be long enough to braid each summer, and you too will have more and more sweetgrass to share with your friends in turn.  Truly a blessed gift it is to braid mama's hair, the sweet glossy braids' delicate smoky-vanilla scent soothing as we kneel braiding in the gardens.
