   Taking personal agency for our health is a process we grow into, little by little as we gain confidence in our own perceptions of our bodies.  Mágica is an opportunity to gain familiarity with the herb plants we, and you too, can use for medicines.  In person, you can meet the medicinal plants growing strong outdoors here on the farm; online followers we encourage you to look up the herbal ingredients you see listed in our tinctures & other products, so you yourself are engaging in a self-guided, intuitive process unique to you, to learn to care for and heal your own self.

     Look up the plants, read descriptions of the ones applicable to the conditions you feel you're experiencing, and try the ones you feel instinctively drawn to, the ones that simply sound good when you read about them.  John Lust is a great source for the herb descriptions from the European and North American traditions; Michael Moore is excellent for the herbal traditions here in northern NM and southern CO;  for TCM and Ayurvedic traditions, there are many materia medica texts to choose from - try the free online libraries (archive.org, Project Gutenberg, eg).   

   Mágica is here to facilitate your interaction with the medicines and healing however we are able.  We are the servant of the water, the plants, the healing energy of the sacred ojo, water of life.  Come learn with us _/\_

 

VISIT

 

Visit the new Mágica apothecary & healing space - tinctures, products, dried herbs by the gram or ounce, singing bowl sound healing sessions ($25 20-min), rest in the peaceful quiet.

Five options to visit Mágica:

1. If we know you already, just let us know when you'd like to come by & for which services.

 

2.  If you're new to Mágica & would like to browse the nursery or apothecary shop, book HERE.

 

3.  Garden Tours are seasonal & ongoing!  :D  Harvesting spring, summer, fall.  Book HERE. Learn the Latin names and uses of medicinal herbs on a guided tour of the mature, living, vibrant medicinal herbs in our extensive apothecary "gardens."  Harvest a shopping tote for personal home use (scroll down for personal use examples) - sampling encouraged!  Or just relax in the cool shade by the pond, grounding exercise on the lawn, meditate & pray, etc.   Garden tour admission to Mágica is $40 one person, $60 for two ppl & includes up to about 2 hours of magical enjoyment time onsite.  Pee before you get here & leave your pets at home please.

 

4.  Mágica Day Pass - Enjoy private use of our healing room & huge bathtub.  Crystal singing bowls, exercise ball & mat, north-oriented chaise for sweet naps, luxe massage table, large bathtub with Epsom salt included (full bath with shower stall as well), more.  Low-cost DIY spa type space use.  Book HERE

 

5.  Visitors are now welcome to stay at our gorgeous park-like oasis of healing in your own fully-contained RV or camper here at Mágica :-)  We have a dedicated commercial-load outlet and 10-gauge extension to charge your power and can fill your tanks with our delicious well-water.  Your black and grey water tanks must be emptied at a nearby RV facility.   Please no outdoor pets to maintain the purity and sanctity of the land and water as much as possible.  More info & book direct  HERE or book on HipCamp HERE

 

PRAY

     Share in the healing peace of Mágica.  Pray & meditate beside the sacred water, heart & spirit borne along the energy of the pure spring's gentle healing flow.  Feel the sublime power.  

Pray with the pure Nemea® spring water, allow the sunlight to refract through its clarity, ask guidance & study its guidance, take a gift of a small container with you & let your gardens experience the nourishing mineral water.  This blessing is free to all, with grace & peace.

Personal v. commercial use - some examples:

Some examples that have become necessary to explicate:

Scenario 1

- You harvest a shopping tote of horehound, hyssop, mullein, marshmallow, and osha del campo root to make cough medicine

for your kiddos & cousins.  Personal use.

- Same scenario but you decide to sell a few extra bottles at farmers market alongside your other products.  Minor enough to be personal use.

(incidental extra products, no prob at all, don't mention it)

- Same harvest scenario but you use half the mullein in an herbal salve you've already been making & selling in your own product line.  Commercial use, 

Remedy:  just list MFT as the herb source in the fine print on your product labels - we're honored to be your source :-)

- Same harvest scenario but you're so impressed with the herb quiality, you decide to start a new product line for sale at regional farmers markets and shows.  Commercial use.  

Remedy:  let's talk about how your products can highlight the potency and purity of Mágica medicinals with labeling and advertising credit.

 

Scenario 2

- You & your buddy harvest 2 shopping totes of licorice, marshmallow, and osha del campo roots for your home use and realize when you get there how much medicine it really is - wowza!  You have so much medicine, you gift little individual bottles and packets to all of your 117 friends and relatives for the holidays.  Personal use.

- Same harvest scenario except you both decide there's so many roots, you're going to plant a bunch out in your own herb gardens to establish your own herb beds at home.  Awesome and totally encouraged!  Personal use.

-  Same havest scenario except you've told us you're harvesting to share with your "friends" down near Albuquerque and then we later learn that your "friends" actually own one of the largest native plant nurseries in the state and you are in fact transferring our nursery stock to another producer.   Commercial use. 

(Also unethical, dishonest, and contrary to NM laws, rules, regs)

Remedy:  the nursery needs to buy from us - only licensed nursery dealers may exchange commercial nursery stock in NM.

 

We've been a licensed nursery dealer & wholesale supplier to nurseries and growers for decades & are thrilled that our stock is always stronger &

more vigorous - plants, seeds, and rootstock intended for commerical use must be sold as such.  Also, this is a woman-owned, disabled-owned 

micro-business, so let's not "take from the poor to give to the rich."  

 

Remember:  just because its *free* doesn't mean its valueless - I know the value of what I grow, I've been doing it for 37 years.
